Beauty was once said to be only skin deep, but todays anti wrinkle creams are pushing science to an entirely new level. One where it’s possible that creams are applied topically and then go to work below the skins surface to stimulate new collagen products, heal wrinkles that are currently visible and even get rid of those pesky dark circles and fine lines around your eyes.

It’s an amazing journey that anti aging skin care has taken, and with a new line of products hitting the market known as cosmeceuticals we’re likely to see more science based products hitting the market in the coming years.

Where the best anti wrinkle cream once contained only natural and herbal ingredients that were shown to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, todays new cosmeceuticals are bringing science into the mix and working to rejuvenating skin back to a more youthful appearance.

Most of these anti aging products still work better when you’re proactive and don’t wait until you’re 65 to try and reverse signs of aging. Of course few women are being proactive in that manner and end up paying more then they have to for expensive cosmetic surgeries and injections.

I feel that as time goes on and science discovers new compounds that can heal our skin and make us look younger the proverbial fountain of youth may still yet be within our reach.
